SLUDGE! What can be said ? Sludge is a very cool metal/hardcore crossover band from NJ. They remind me of Carnivore in a lot of different ways. None the less they are some of the coolest guys in the scene so check them out! -Paul 1) Without being too detailed give a brief history of Sludge!.
Dave - SLUDGE! started in late Winter of 97' with me, mybrother
Paul and Jim Scarduzio. After looking for a month, Jim called old band
mate Dan Snyder in to check out what we were trying to do with this
project. Dan belted out the very first song that started SLUDGE! off.
This song would be " DO UNTO. "

2) What kinds of music does each member listen to?
Well, we all have our won listening plessures. But Dan listens to that
Korn kinda music. James listens to anything from Grateful Dead to
Candiria to King Diamond.
Me and my brother listen to anything from the Monkees to All Out War to
Mortal Decay.

-What are your musical influences ?
Dave - Alot of our influences come from bands like The Melvins, Clutch,
Black Sabbath, some grindcore, some hardcore, and any other things that
might inspire us along the way

4) What is the story with your new CD"Behavior Modification Theory"?
Dave - The CD is out on TWIST OF FAITH RECORDS from Virginia Beach. The
same label that released the Misura CD last February of 1999. The CD
contains 9 songs of previous and new tracks of what SLUDGE! is all
about. Pure sick music and creativity. You can buy the CD from us for

5) Do your lyrics have deep meanings?
Dave - The lyrics have a meaning to them. You just have to figure out
what our arped minds are thinking of though. Not everyone can comprehend
the thinkings of the band as a whole.

6) Do you guys plan on doing any touring?

Dave - Hopefully very soon. We do have shows lined up for the future
already and are booking many more very soon.

7) If you could tour with 2 other bands who would they be and why ?
Dave - The Melvins & Clutch

8) What is the long term goal for Sludge!?
Dave - To take SLUDGE! as far as it can go! Maybe we'll all be about 50
when the band calls it qutis, who knows. We still have plenty of ideas
going thru our skulls.
